How to Create a Crypto Wallet in Exodus – Step-by-Step Guide

As we already described in our article on crypto wallets, in order to purchase cryptocurrency from Altcoins.bg, you need to have a wallet to store it. One of the easiest and most secure options right now is Exodus.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the wallet creation process step by step. You can also watch a video tutorial or read the full instructions below.
Step 1: Visit the Official Exodus Website
To start, go to the official Exodus website using this LINK.
Click on the DOWNLOAD button in the top right corner.
You will now see an option to choose your device – computer or mobile.
We’ll start by showing the desktop installation process, followed by mobile setup.
How to Install Exodus on Desktop
Click on the Download button under the "Desktop" section and choose your operating system (Mac, Windows, or Linux).
Once the file is downloaded, install Exodus like any other app and open it.
When you launch it for the first time, select Create new wallet.
You’ll now be shown 12 words — your seed phrase, which acts as the key to your wallet. Make sure to write them down and store them securely. Only you should have access to this phrase, as it gives full control over your funds.
After saving the phrase, the Exodus app will ask you to re-enter it to confirm that you’ve backed it up correctly.
Once completed, you’ll be redirected to your new wallet interface.
You’re now ready to receive and send crypto through your Exodus wallet.
Installing Exodus on Mobile
On the same download page, look for the Mobile section on the right-hand side.
Choose the correct platform (iOS or Android) and download the app.
Once installed, open it and again select Create new wallet as described above.
You’re now ready to use your new mobile wallet for crypto transactions.
Syncing Exodus Between Desktop and Mobile
If you want to use the same wallet on both your computer and smartphone, install Exodus on the second device and choose Restore existing wallet.
Enter the 12-word seed phrase you saved earlier — and that’s it!
Your wallet will now be synchronized across both devices.
There’s also a method using a QR code, but it’s more suited for advanced users who are already familiar with it.
Receiving Cryptocurrency in Exodus
Click the wallet icon to view your supported cryptocurrencies.
You’ll see a full list of assets supported by Exodus.
If you don’t see the one you need, just search for it by name — for example, “Bitcoin.”
Each currency has its own unique receiving address.
To find the address for the currency you want, click the RECEIVE button.
Your wallet address will appear in a format like this:
1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa
Copy it and paste it into your Altcoins.bg order so we can send the crypto you’ve purchased.
Protecting Your Exodus Wallet
Once your wallet is ready and you plan to use it, take steps to secure your funds.
Go to Settings (as shown in the image) and set a strong password. On mobile, you can also enable built-in security options like a PIN or fingerprint protection.
This will add an extra layer of security and prevent unauthorized access, even if someone gains access to your device.
While we showed the setup using Bitcoin, the process is identical for all other supported currencies.
